RESEARCH EXPERIENCE AND INTEREST
Research Experience
2003—2004-During this time I collected interview data, observational data, textual data and other qualitative data for my dissertation. The research followed a critical network analysis protocol. While I collected observational and textual data I first conducted structured interviews. Following the structured interviews were semi-structured and un-structured interviews of high school students, parents, community professionals, public school teachers and administrators.

2001—2002- Research Assistant to Ricardo Stanton-Salazar, Ph. D.
University of Southern California
During this time I collected, categorized and reviewed literature in the area of education, social support and social capital for Dr. Stanton-Salazar.

Summer 1999-Research Assistant to Robert Rueda, Ph. D.
University of Southern California
During this time I collected interview data concerning literacy and the relationships that fostered literacy development in and out of school for a group of language minority elementary school students. I interviewed teachers, students and parents.
