Program Description
Dr. Kenneth Ganezer has received grants, from the National Science Foundation, the Research Corporation and the Department of Energy for elementary particle physics research to work on the Super Kamiokande neutrino observatory and nucleon decay experiment. Dr. Ganezer heads up CSUDH's contingent of Super-Kamiokande, a relatively small collaboration of about 20 Universities and National Laboratories in the US, Japan, and Korea This project has uncovered and verified the phenomena of neutrino oscillations and neutriono mass and provided the first experimental evidence of how the fundamental laws of physics are unified into a signal "grand unified" theory. With this rich background, he has dedicated himself to sharing his experience and knowledge in physics with other scholars, teachers and mentors. Dr Ganezer hopes that his efforts will enrich lives, stimulate intellects, and motivate students and mentees to pursue higher education and career objectives in physics, the sciences, science education, and in related fields.
The most generous grants that have directly influenced CSUDH are through the NSF.
Dr. Ganezer enjoys mentoring students who need such information to enrich their classrooms and high school science teachers. Through a generous grant from the Research Corporation he has been able to initiate a mentorship program for them. |
