Research Interests
I am interested in the spatial aspects of ecology and the effects of humans on the environment. Current and recent studies include the effect of agricultural systems on tropical bird communities, multi-scale drivers of tropical tree species distribution, remnant habitat patches in the Los Angeles and San Juan metropolitan areas, island biogeography applied to forest fragments, and songbird metapopulation ecology.
